Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the CTH Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management, you must successfully complete or be exempted from CTH Diplomas or the equivalent.
If a you have completed your study at Diploma level and wish to begin your study at Advanced Diploma level then you must have passed at least five Diploma level module examinations to be able to progress. Please note that you will not receive your Advanced Diploma certificate if you have not passed all modules at Diploma level.
For direct entry onto the Advanced Diploma, decisions are made by CTH on an individual basis with regard to your previous qualifications and experience. The following qualifications or experience will normally exempt you from studying for the Diploma and will enable you to study for the Advanced Diploma:
BTEC National Diploma in Hotel and Catering
AVCE (Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education)
Advanced Diploma in Hospitality, Institute of Hospitality Part A
Institute of Hospitality Professional Certificate
ICM (Institute of Credit Management) Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management
ICM (Institute of Credit Management) Diploma in Tourism and Business Studies
1 year course at Diploma level with at least 75% of the course equivalent to the relevant CTH Diploma modules
Two or more years experience in the relevant industry at supervisory level.
