CTH Certificate in English for Hospitality and Tourism
Introduction
Objective
The CTH Certificates in English for Hospitality and Tourism Levels 1 and 2 are designed to prepare you to study for the CTH Diploma qualifications. Level 1 takes you up to approximately intermediate level. Level two aims to raise your use of English to upper intermediate level. At this point, you can be expected to be able to prepare for the CTH Diploma qualifications, which are conducted in English, with some confidence.
The qualification is designed specifically for the international hospitality and tourism industries and the content spans use of English relevant to travel agents, tour operators, resort representatives, all hotel departments and restaurant staff. Particular sections of the course will, therefore, be more relevant to some specialisms than others. However, as the aim of the qualifications and the subsequent CTH Diplomas is to prepare for a career in management in hospitality and tourism, you will benefit from exposure to matters outside your specific field of interest.
