Medical Insurance Scheme
We are required by Council for Private Education (CPE) to provide all students a medical insurance scheme to cover for hospitalisation and related medical treatment for the entire course duration.
We have purchased from EQ Insurance Company Limited a Group Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance Policy for both local (Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents or non-Student Pass international students) and international students. The policy will minimally provide for an annual coverage limit of SGD 20,000 per student, at least B2 ward in government and restructured hospitals and 24-hours coverage in Singapore and overseas (if students are involved in school-related activities) throughout the entire course duration.
The medical insurance scheme is compulsory for international students. However, local students (Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents or non-Student Pass international students) may opt out of the medical insurance scheme provided they have an existing medical insurance coverage and it is valid throughout the duration of the course. Upon verification of the medical insurance policy by the School, local students must sign the opt out option in the student contract in order to opt out of the medical insurance scheme.
